BenQ releases new compact ST projector with 4,000 lumens brightness

The BenQ LW830ST WXGA Laser Simulation Projector has officially launched. This new model is designed for business use, suited to spaces requiring floor projections such as interactive playgrounds and sensory rooms.
The LW830ST is a short throw DLP projector with a 0.521:1 throw ratio. It can cast images up to 300 inches wide with a 1,280 x 800 px resolution. According to BenQ, its laser light source can deliver up to 4,000 ANSI lumens brightness, running for up to 20,000 hours. The model is said to offer a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 93% coverage of the Rec. 709 color space, and image perfecting tools like 2D keystone correction and corner fit. Plus, users can choose from a range of color modes such as sRGB, HDR10 and Simulation.
BenQ’s LW830ST is suited to multi-projector set-ups, including 360° installations, thanks to Blending Ready Mode. Ports on the device include two HDMI (2.0b/HDCP2.2), LAN (RJ45), two USB-A and RS232. The model can receive firmware updates over LAN, and there is also a built-in 15W speaker and 3.5 mm audio jack. Marketed as a compact model, it measures 279 x 121 x 229 mm (~11.0 x 4.8 x 9.0 inches).
