New Xiaomi smart washing machine with compact design launches

The Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine Top-Loading 10kg has been launched in China. This freestanding laundry appliance has a rounded, minimalist design and is relatively compact with a footprint of 0.3 m² (~3.2 ft²).

Xiaomi’s Mijia Washing Machine Top-Loading can be connected to other smart home devices from the brand, thanks to HyperOS Connect. This means that the Xiao AI voice assistant could audibly notify you when the washing is complete, and the smart lights in the laundry room could be switched on automatically. Plus, users can remotely monitor and control the washing machine via the brand’s app. Alternatively, you can adjust the machine’s settings via the integrated touch control panel.

The Mijia Washing Machine Top-Loading offers 10 washing modes, including a dedicated wool washing cycle. The water volume can be intelligently adjusted by the machine based on the weight of the load. This model is also said to offer 100% mite removal and has achieved a Level 1 energy efficiency rating in China. Its 10 kg capacity should allow you to wash 45 t-shirts, 12 pairs of jeans, or 4 sets of bedding simultaneously.

Xiaomi is selling its new Mijia Washing Machine Top-Loading 10kg in China for CNY 799 (~$115). Whether or not this model will be rolled out to Europe in the future remains to be seen. In 2025, it released the Mijia Washer Dryer Pro 9kg in countries like Germany (curr. €499 at Xiaomi Store).
