Citizen Star Wars Duel: New collab watch with dramatic black dial spotted

The unreleased Citizen Star Wars Duel watch has been spotted at a US retailer. Also referred to as model AW0160-09W, this is set to be the latest watch to join the Citizen x Star Wars collaboration range, which is also getting a new Mandalorian model in the near future.

The Citizen Star Wars Duel watch has a black dial, with silver colored outlines of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, who famously duelled on Cloud City in the movie The Empire Strikes Back. There are red and blue accents throughout, including the lume-filled fans and the watch strap loops; these are the colors of the lightsabers used in the fight. The dial is surrounded by a brushed stainless steel casing, measuring 42 mm (~1.65 inches) across, with the steel case back engraved with the text “It is your destiny” and two lightsabers.

Citizen’s AW0160-09W has three analog hands as well as date and day displays. It is powered by a J800 movement, with Eco-Drive technology allowing it to be powered by any indoor or outdoor light source. Plus, it is water resistant to 100 m and comes with a black leather strap.

At the official Citizen Amazon US store, the Star Wars Duel AW0160-09W watch is listed with a $350 RRP, though it is marked as “Temporarily out of stock”. While the release date of this model is unknown, a suggestion on the product listing that it would make “a fitting Father’s Day gift” points to a release before mid-June 2026.
