Citizen launches new Star Wars Mandalorian Eco-Drive chronograph with Caliber B612

Citizen just introduced another new Star Wars-themed chronograph inspired by Din Djarin from The Mandalorian, after recently unveiling a new Boba Fett inspired Eco-Drive watch in January. The model - reference number Citizen CA0857-09W - features several design cues tied to the character and ships in themed packaging.
The watch uses a 43.6 mm stainless-steel case finished in a dark tone, with a brown leather strap that has visible stitching near the lugs. The overall look is closer to a pilot-style chronograph, but with multiple references to the series integrated into the dial. At first glance, the dial appears to be a gray sunburst surface, but a closer look reveals themed sub-dials. The upper sub-dial uses the Mudhorn symbol, which references the creature Din Djarin defeats in the show, while the lower register displays Mandalorian helmet artwork. Small, stylized Grogu ears are also incorporated into the design. These details fit seamlessly on the chronograph layout rather than being loud.
A gold-tone tachymeter bezel surrounds the dial, which also adds contrast to the otherwise dark case. The watch also uses luminous hands and markers, visible in promo images with the glow pattern in low light. Inside, the model runs on Citizen’s B612 Eco-Drive chronograph movement, which is powered by light. The movement supports standard chronograph timing functions and includes a date display positioned at 3 o’clock. The caseback is also engraved with the phrase "This Is The Way", one of the most iconic lines associated with The Mandalorian culture in the Star Wars universe. Additional Mudhorn imagery also shows up alongside the engraving.
Citizen is also packaging the watch in a special Mandalorian presentation box - it has graphics referencing the series and the character’s helmet. The cylindrical inner case features the Mudhorn emblem and Star Wars branding as well. This design approach is more about neat, tiny details than anything else. Pricing and wider availability details have not yet been disclosed in the Instagram post, but the model appears to be launching through Citizen’s official channels and partner retailers.
