Grand Seiko reveals final designs for new global exclusive watch

Grand Seiko has unveiled the design of the three finalists for the 2027 Global GS9 Club Exclusive Model. The upcoming watch was announced earlier in 2026, though few details of its design were revealed. It follows on from the 2024 GS9 Club timepiece, which was exclusively available to club members in Japan.
Now, images of three options for the 2027 Grand Seiko Global GS9 Club Exclusive Model have been revealed by the brand, and shared on Reddit (post embedded below). All three variants have a silver stainless steel casing, which is similar in appearance to the 38.5 mm wide SBGY case. The dials feature silver indexes, aside from the feature Arabic numeral 9, which is in gold.
The new Grand Seiko GS9 Club timepiece uses colors inspired by the Japanese Edo period. The two Minatonezu options have a green-blue dial with silver colored metal casing. One variant has a textured dark brown leather strap, and another has a light grey textured leather strap. The Benikeshinezumi watch has a gray-brown face with a dark brown textured calf leather strap.
It is thought that GS9 Club members may be shown prototypes of these three options for the 2027 Exclusive Model in June. However, further details about when club members could be asked to vote for their preferred option, and when the timepiece will become available to purchase, have yet to be confirmed.
