New King Seiko titanium watches launched with 8L45 automatic caliber and 72-hour power reserve

Alongside the new Marinemaster divers, Seiko has also introduced three new watches to the King Seiko Vanac line with modernized specs and a pretty familiar design direction. The new references - HKF001, HKF002, and HKF003 - differ only in dial color, arriving in purple, silver, and black respectively. All three are regular production models and are expected to go on sale in July 2026.
The watches use titanium cases measuring 41 mm in diameter, 14.3 mm thick, and 45.1 mm lug-to-lug. The case design has an angular, integrated look similar to with earlier Vanac pieces, now paired with a matching metal bracelet. A box-shaped sapphire crystal sits on top, with anti-reflective coating applied to the inner surface. Water resistance is rated at 10 bar, and the case includes a screw-down crown and exhibition caseback.
All three models are powered by Seiko’s caliber 8L45. This is an automatic movement with manual winding, running at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a stated accuracy of +10 to -5 seconds per day. Power reserve is rated at approximately 72 hours. The movement uses 35 jewels and includes a hacking seconds function and date display.
The 8L family is typically priced above Seiko’s mid-range calibers like the 6R series, since its construction and finishing is derived from movements used in higher-end Prospex models. While it is not decorated to Grand Seiko standards, it is generally considered a robust, high-beat movement with better regulation out of the box than entry-level automatics.
LumiBrite is applied to the hands and indices, and the watches use a three-fold clasp with push-button release. Magnetic resistance is rated at 4,800 A/m, which is quite standard for modern Seiko mechanicals. Pricing hasn't been disclosed as of writing.
