Seiko’s limited-edition Supercars GMT has officially gone on sale. The SSK057K stands out with a carbon-pattern dial and bold red accents, all backed by Seiko’s automatic GMT movement. With just 1,500 units available worldwide, it’s a niche release that, for now, remains exclusive to Australia.

Seiko’s limited-edition motorsports-inspired SSK057K is finally available for purchase. First unveiled in February with pre-orders opening shortly after, the company hadn’t confirmed when the watch would begin shipping—until now. Seiko Australia has officially announced the general availability of the Seiko 5 Sports x Supercars Limited Edition.

Buyers in Australia can now pick up the SSK057K through Seiko Boutique, Seiko Online store, and authorized retailers for AUD $850. We still don't know if the watch will see a wider international release or remain exclusive to the Australian market.

Red accents on the GMT and seconds hand reinforce the watch’s motorsport theme.

To recap, the SSK057K celebrates a decade-long partnership between Seiko and the Supercars Championship, as well as Team 18, and leans heavily into its racing inspiration. The carbon-fiber-patterned dial is the main highlight of the package. A lot is going on here. There's a red/black chapter ring that adds a nice contrast to the textured dial; a bright red GMT hand that stands out prominently; and large, luminous hands and hour markers. The Supercars logo is engraved on both the crown and the exhibition case back, which also displays each watch’s individual number. The watch is limited to 1,500 units worldwide.

The SSK057K ships in a custom collector’s box with Supercars-themed extras.

Under the hood, the Seiko 5 Sports SSK057K runs on the company's automatic Caliber 4R34 movement, which brings GMT functionality into the mix. It offers a 41-hour power reserve, hacking seconds, and hand-winding capability, while allowing users to track up to three time zones using the main hands, 24-hour GMT hand, and bidirectional bezel—a handy feature considering the championship spans multiple time zones across Australia and New Zealand.

The 42.5mm stainless steel case is paired with a Hardlex crystal featuring a magnifier and a black cow leather strap and offers 100 meters of water resistance. Each watch is shipped in a custom collector’s box with a commemorative pin, cleaning cloth, and a numbered certificate detailing Supercars racetracks.
