New Seiko 5 Sports x Supercars Limited Edition GMT watch launched with 4R34 caliber and carbon-fibre patterned dial

Seiko has just launched a new limited edition automatic watch with motorsport-inspired aesthetics. The SSK057K is the first GMT watch built for the Supercars Championship and celebrates 10 years of partnership with Supercars and Team 18. It’s limited to 1,500 individually numbered units worldwide and comes in a special collector’s box.
Let’s start with the most obvious highlight: the design, which leans heavily into its racing brief. A carbon-fibre patterned dial sets the tone, referencing the lightweight materials used in modern racing cars, while red accents highlight the inner chapter ring, GMT hand, and seconds hand, with Lumibrite on the hands and hour markers ensuring legibility in low light. The Supercars logo is engraved on both the crown and case back, which also carries each watch’s individual limited-edition number.
The Seiko 5 Sports SSK057K is powered by Seiko’s automatic Caliber 4R34, which offers basically the same specs and measurements as NH35 movement, including a 41-hour power reserve, hand-winding capability, and a hacking seconds function, with the only difference being the addition of GMT. The GMT function means users can track three time zones simultaneously using the main hands, 24-hour hand, and bidirectional bezel, a nod to the championship’s six time zones across Australia and New Zealand.
The stainless steel case measures 42.5mm in diameter and 13.6mm thick, with a weight of approximately 93 grams. A Hardlex crystal with a magnifier sits above the dial, and the watch is paired with a black cow leather strap with a 22mm lug width. Like other Seiko 5 Sports models, you also get water resistance up to 100 metres.
The Seiko 5 Sports x Supercars Limited Edition 2026 ships in a custom collector’s box and includes a commemorative Seiko Supercars pin, a branded cleaning cloth, and an individually numbered certificate detailing all Supercars racetracks.
Pricing & Availability
The Seiko 5 Sports x Supercars SSK057K is currently limited to Australia and is priced at AUD $850. It can be purchased directly through Seiko Boutique and the official online store. Whether the watch will make its way to more markets, including the US and Europe, remains to be seen.
