Casio's new motorsport-inspired G-Shock DW-5600 features Toyo Proxes Sport R design cues

Casio has announced a new special-edition DW-5600 in collaboration with Toyo Tires, a Japanese company known for its high-performance car tires. Dubbed the G-Shock DW5600TT25-1, the watch is set to launch in the U.S. on June 14 for $150.

The G-Shock DW5600TT25-1 takes inspiration from Toyo’s new Proxes Sport R extreme-performance summer tire, featuring a striking white dial with a black resin case and band decorated with a tire tread pattern. The contrasting blue band loop, along with Toyo Tires, Casio, and G-Shock branding in matching blue, gives the watch a distinctly motorsport-inspired look.

A watch built around a performance tire

Additional custom detailing can be found throughout the design. The band features the Toyo Tires and Proxes logos printed in white, alongside stylized “R” graphics near the lower edge. Flip the watch over, and you'll find these details engraved on the case back on a design resembling a tire sidewall. There's also an easter egg: a blue Proxes “R” logo appears on the display whenever the LED backlight is activated. It's a neat detail and one we've seen on several other special-edition G-Shocks, including the Korea-exclusive Gundam collaboration and the G-Shock x Challenger.

Special packaging for collectors

The watch arrives in custom packaging, which includes a blue presentation box and a collectible black metal tin inspired by a wheel-and-tire setup, complete with tread-pattern detailing.

As for features, the DW5600TT25-1 retains everything that has made the square G-Shock a fan favorite (DW-5600UE-1V $65 on Amazon). It measures 48.9 x 42.8 x 13.4 mm, weighs just 52 grams, and features Casio’s signature shock-resistant construction with 200 meters of water resistance. Other highlights include a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, multi-function alarm, flash alerts, full auto-calendar through 2099, and an LED backlight with afterglow. Battery life is rated at approximately five years on a CR2016 cell.

Pricing & Availability

The Casio G-Shock DW5600TT25-1 x Toyo Tires will go on sale on Sunday, June 14, at BAIT's Diamond Bar store in California, with online sales beginning Monday, June 15, at 12 PM PDT through BAIT's dedicated launch site. Casio will also sell the watch through its U.S. online store, though the exact release timing has not yet been confirmed. BAIT will additionally offer a limited-edition BAIT x Toyo Tires T-shirt during the launch event.
