We have covered G-Shock collab watches in the past - there are hundreds of them out there. However, given how fast Casio's Edifice lineup is growing, it makes sense to shed some light on its partnerships with racing teams and automotive franchises. These models have authentic, unique design elements that add exclusivity to the otherwise standard Edifice models. Most of these partnerships began gaining traction in the mid-2010s.

Listed below are some of the most popular Casio Edifice collab watches released to date.

Formula 1: Scuderia AlphaTauri Series

Casio's longest-running motorsports partnership began in 2016 with Scuderia Toro Rosso, which later became Scuderia AlphaTauri. This collaboration has produced multiple generations of timepieces:

  • ECB-20AT Series (2021): The first watch under the AlphaTauri branding featured navy blue and white team colors with sapphire crystal construction tough enough for pit mechanics. The model used the team logo on the dial, case back, and band, and it celebrates Pierre Gasly's Italian Grand Prix victory.
  • 6K Carbon Collection (2024): The second-generation AlphaTauri collaboration introduced three models - EQB-1000AT, ECB-10AT, and EFS-S590AT - with 6K carbon fiber, the same material used in Formula 1 car wings and floors. These watches were the first time Edifice used such high-grade carbon fiber material in their timepieces.

Japanese racing royalty

TOM'S Racing Team, established in 1974 and renowned for Super GT and Super Formula championships, still has one of the most extensive collaboration histories with Edifice since 2013.

  • EQS-900TMS (2018): The inaugural TOM'S collaboration featured a carbon fiber dial with red team accents, celebrating the Lexus Team KeePer TOM'S 2017 Super GT championship victory.
  • ECB-10TMS (2020): The second collaboration introduced brake caliper-inspired design elements and Mt. Fuji gradations from the TOM'S logo. It commemorated Edifice's 20th anniversary with special "20" inscriptions.
  • EQB-1100TMS (2022): The third partnership produced an 8.9mm slim case with gold accents, reminiscing luxury sports cars, featuring titanium tail pipe color gradation effects.
  • EFS-S641TMS (2024): The latest release celebrates TOM'S 50th anniversary. It pays homage to the legendary KP47 Starlet race car that dominated 1970s touring races with 22 pole positions and 20 championship victories.

NISMO Heritage

The partnership with NISMO (Nissan Motorsports International) has produced some of the most technically sophisticated and gorgeous collab models.

  • EQS-930NIS (2022): This limited edition featured NISMO's traditional ace number "23" engraved at the 23-minute mark, with red and black brand colors and titanium tail pipe color gradation effects.
  • ECB-S10NIS-7AJR (2024-2025): The newest and one of the most elaborate NISMO collabs - the ECB-S10NIS-7AJR - celebrates NISMO's 40th anniversary with a lot of attention to detail. It's a stunning model, and will be available for purchase soon. Given below is a slightly more elaborate showcase on this brand-new collab:

The ECB-S10NIS-7AJR Heritage Edition references NISMO’s activity from 1984 to 1997 and the period of the original oval NISMO logo. Going by European retail listings, a release is planned for September 2025 and pricing will be around €299, with timing and price subject to regional confirmation.

The watch measures approximately 48 x 43 x 9.6 mm and weighs about 69 g. It uses a stainless steel case and bezel with sapphire crystal and is rated to 10 bar water resistance. The base platform is the slim ECB-S10 series with smartphone link and sapphire crystal.

The strap is white leather on the top with a suede-like underside - red on the short strap and blue on the long strap - printed with names associated with NISMO champions from 1984 to 1997. The dial is light silver with red and blue accents, features a glow-in-the-dark NISMO logo at 12 o’clock, and has "Sapphire" text styled to match the Calsonic Skyline R32 windshield decal.

Functionally, it is an analog-digital Bluetooth model compatible with the Casio Watches app. Other features include world time (38 cities), a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, multiple alarms, a double LED "Super Illuminator," phone finder, and standard ECB-S10 series configuration.
