New Seiko Metronome Watch Fragment Edition collab appears

A new Seiko Metronome Watch Fragment Edition has been teased on social media. The Metronome watch was launched in 2022 by Seiko Instruments, the arm of the company responsible for devices like industrial printheads and motion devices.
The unreleased Seiko collaboration watch appears to have been leaked by Hiroshi Fujiwara, founder of the Fragment Design brand, based in Tokyo. This would be the first watch designed in partnership by the two brands. An image of what seems to be the product’s packaging shows model number PA50-00B0, and also indicates that the watch would be powered by a quartz movement. On top of this, it is said to be water resistant and to have a stainless steel casing.
A second image has revealed the design of the Seiko Metronome Watch Fragment Edition. The watch has two black hands and matching hour markers. The outer ring, showing the metronome markings, is blue and red; the original has black markings here. While it appears to have the same slim metal bezel as its predecessor, the black leather strap is swapped out for a black fabric strap for the collaboration model.
As its name suggests, this Seiko watch can act as a metronome, helping the wearer to keep time with music. The two analog hands, which can be used to tell the time or for the time-keeping function. There is also a pitch tool, with the watch able to play six tones. Users can switch between the three modes using the lower-left pusher. It has a stainless steel case with a black leather strap, and its battery life estimate is two years on a CR2016 battery.
At the time of writing, it is unclear when the Seiko Metronome Watch Fragment Edition PA50-00B0 will be released and whether it will be exclusive to the Japanese market.
