Following the recent production delay of the highly anticipated film Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgisnacht Rising, Seiko is launching a new high-end set of watches in the franchise. Unlike previous "Sun & Moon" releases that had complications, the 2026 collection has a more mature, utilitarian aesthetic for daily wear.
The collaboration consists of two different references. The Madoka model (NEODAI-286770) features a pale champagne-gold dial housed in a brushed stainless steel case. This dial is accented by delicate pink highlights and sub-dial motifs which use a lot of inspiration from the character’s transformation ribbons. The Homura model (MD25-1132002) has a more aggressive profile, using a black ion-plated case and a darkened dial. The sub-dial at the six o’clock position showcases the "running lizard" and "kneeling Homura" iconography from the recent theatrical trailers.
Both models are built around the Seiko Caliber 7T92 quartz movement. This caliber is a staple in Seiko’s professional chronograph line, and it is capable of measuring elapsed time up to 12 hours in 1/20-second increments. The watches come with 10-bar (100-meter) water resistance rating and a Hardlex crystal. Each unit comes in a commemorative presentation box with foil-stamped interior artwork and a serialized caseback.
