Casio is gearing up to launch two new G-Shock GA-2100 series watches in February, according to a fresh leak from Casioblog, which has also shared detailed renders of the upcoming watches, GA-2100CM-8A and GA-2100CM-5A, giving us a closer look at their designs.
As you can see in the attached images, Casio is leaning heavily into the tactical aesthetic, with both models featuring inverted (negative) displays, paired with bands and bezels decked out in military camouflage patterns. The GA-2100CM-8A has a mauve taupe, grey-heavy camo, while the GA-2100CM-5A opts for a desert-inspired sand and beige camo. According to Casioblog, the dotted patterns that appear alongside the camouflage stripes are applied using laser painting tech to create a 3D effect.
The new watches are expected to be updated versions of the GA-2100CA-8A and GA-2100-5A, which arrived in 2022 and 2021, respectively. They appear to feature the same 5611 module as the previous versions, giving us a pretty good idea of what to expect in terms of features and specs. The 200-meter water resistance, Casio’s lightweight yet durable Carbon Core Guard structure with shock resistance, a high-brightness LED backlight, world time for 31 time zones with daylight saving feature, five daily alarms, a stopwatch, and an auto-calendar should all be part of the package.
The G-Shock GA-2100CM-8A and GA-2100CM-5A are rumored to be priced around $120. As is usually the case with new G-Shock launches, the watches will likely debut in Japan first, followed by a wider international release. We still don't have the exact February release date, but when the GA-2100CM series goes official, we'll be sure to let you know.
