Casio’s next Pro Trek has surfaced early, and it’s a sharp departure from the brand’s usual round designs. The PRG-69 pairs a dual-layer LCD with an angular case and Casio’s familiar Triple Sensor tech.

Casio’s latest Pro Trek watch may not offer something groundbreaking in the way of technological advancement, but it sure is the company’s most unique outdoor offering yet. The new Pro Trek PRG-69 takes the conventional dual-layer digital display and combines it with a solid octagonal case inspired by the PRW-6900

While the PRG-69-1 and PRG-69-4 have yet to be officially revealed by Casio, they have been spotted in their full glory at French retailer David et Philly. Both watches are identical except for the color difference. The PRG-69-1 is an all-black model, while the PRG-69-4 features a black dial with a bright orange band. While the angular case looks identical to the PRW-6900 at first glance, it’s actually made of bio-based plastic. It’s flame-resistant, too, offering protection against wayward campfire sparks. The band is made of bio-derived urethane and is said to offer exceptional comfort during long hikes,s while a mineral crystal protects the display.

One of the standout features of the PRG-69 is its dual-layer “Duplex” LCD, which greatly improves legibility by displaying large compass graphics on the top layer, leaving the bottom layer clear for time and sensor measurements. It also features a small dot-matrix sub-display at the top, which shows details like the day, date, and barometric pressure trend without cluttering the main screen.

Under the hood, the PRG-69 packs Casio’s familiar Triple Sensor tech (ABC sensors). The watch comes equipped with a digital compass with 16-point measurement and bidirectional calibration, an altimeter capable of tracking elevation from -700 to 10,000 meters with automatic logging, a barometer with pressure tendency alerts, and a thermometer rated from -10 to 60°C.

As you would expect from a Pro Trek, there's Tough Solar, which continuously tops up the battery using sunlight or indoor light—but there's no Multiband 6 radio for automatic time corrections, however. The PRG-69 measures 52.5 × 46.4 × 14.4mm, making it slightly larger than both the PRW-6900 (49.6 × 44.8 × 14.7mm) and the PRW-B1000 (50.8 × 45.8 × 14.9mm).

Priced at €200 (~$240), the Pro Trek PRG-69 is already available for pre-order at David et Philly, with availability listed for March 20, 2026. We expect to learn more about international availability and regional pricing once Casio makes an official announcement.
