Casio releases new upgraded G-Shock DW-5900 watches in the UK

The Casio G-Shock DW-5900UBB-1 and DW-5900U-1 watches are now available in the UK. These two DW-5900 digital watches launched in Japan earlier in January 2026. They are upgraded versions of the older DW-5900BB-1 and DW-5900-1, released in 2018.

You can now buy the Casio G-Shock DW-5900UBB-1 and DW-5900U-1 watches at the brand’s online store in the UK. Each is priced at £80, and customers are offered free delivery in two to four working days. These products are also expected to be available at its physical store in London.

Casio’s DW-5900U series watches are marketed as upgrades compared to their predecessors. They use the 3536 module in place of the 3465 module, and the newer versions also have LED rather than electroluminescent (EL) backlights. These factors make the watches more efficient, extending the expected battery life from five to ten years.

The Casio G-Shock DW-5900U-1 is a black resin watch with red and blue accents and a typical light background display. The DW-5900UBB-1 has a minimalist black design, lacking the colorful accents, with a black background digital display. The DW-5900 has three digital graphs across the top of the face, with a larger screen below. Its features include support for world time, a countdown timer, a 1/100th stopwatch and five daily alarms.

It is unclear when the Casio G-Shock DW-5900UBB-1 and DW-5900U-1 watches will be released more widely in Europe, or in other markets like the US.
