Casio releases metal strap watch with square digital display

Casio has released the Standard W-800HD-1AV digital watch. This model was spotted on the brand’s official websites in early January 2026 and was subsequently confirmed for release in several European countries.

Now, at Casio’s online store in the UK, you can buy the W-800HD-1AV watch for £39.00. Customers are offered Standard and Express delivery options, with prices starting from £2.95. At the time of writing, there is no indication of a limited number of units of the watch in the market.

The Casio W-800HD-1AV is a silver-colored watch with a resin casing and stainless steel band featuring a triple fold clasp. At the centre of the face is a square-shaped digital display, with a light background, dark figures and a black frame. The display can be illuminated with an LED backlight, making it easier to read in low lighting. Features of the W-800 model include support for dual time zones, a 1/100th second stopwatch, hourly time signals and a multi-function alarm. The calendar is fully automatic to the year 2099, and the watch should remain accurate to within 30 seconds monthly. Plus, it is water resistant to 100 m, running for around 10 years on a CR2025 battery.

The watch measures 44.2 x 36.8 x 13.4 mm (~1.7 x 1.4 x 0.5 inches) and weighs 91 g (~3.2 oz). Casio is expected to release the Standard W-800HD-1AV in other European countries, such as Germany, in the near future. Unfortunately, the company has not announced plans to release the digital model in the US yet.
