New Casio watch with square digital display and metal strap on the way

Casio has unveiled a new square digital display model: the W-800HD-1AV. Recently listed on the brand’s international website, this product joins older models in the series like the W-800H-1AV (curr. €39.90 at Casio DE).

The new Casio W-800HD-1AV differs from its predecessors as it features a silver colored stainless steel band with a triple fold clasp; earlier models come with resin straps. The W-800HD-1AV has a matching silver-tone resin casing, measuring 44.2 x 36.8 x 13.4 mm (~1.74 x 1.45 x 0.53 inches) and weighing 91 g (~3.21 oz).

At the center of the W-800HD-1AV is a digital display with a light background. Here, users can view the time, the date and the day of the week. This model supports dual time zones, meaning you can quickly switch between two presets. It also offers tools like a 1/100th second stopwatch, hourly time signals and a multi-functional alarm with a snooze feature. A green LED backlight can illuminate the display so it can be read easily at night. Casio advertises this watch as water resistant to 100 m and running for around 10 years on the CR2025 battery.

The exact release date of the Casio W-800HD-1AV watch has yet to be officially announced, though it is marked as a January 2026 release on the brand’s global site. The pricing and availability for various markets have yet to be disclosed.
