New Casio G-Shock Hokusai artwork-themed watches officially released, pre orders now live
Casio has finally released official images and details for two new G-Shock DW-5600 models, featuring artwork by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Katsushika Hokusai. Both watches are priced at ¥18,700 (~$119) in Japan and use the classic square DW-5600 digital platform. They are being released as follow-ups to the previously released Hokusai models from 2025.
The first model, DW-5600KHFM-1, is based on Under the Mannenbashi Bridge in Fukagawa. As leaked before by @geesgshock, the scene is integrated into the dial background, with the bridge and river visible beneath the display. When the LED backlight is activated, the bridge artwork becomes even more prominent, as it extends across the display area. The case back is engraved with the kanji character for "Japan," and the watch is marked as made in Japan as well.
The second model, DW-5600KHS25-1, draws inspiration from Yamashita White Rain. This version places Mount Fuji and rainfall elements across the lower half of the dial, again using the background rather than the bezel or case for visual emphasis. As with the bridge model, the artwork interacts neatly with the LED backlight and remains subtle during normal use.
Both watches come with standard DW-5600 specifications, including shock resistance, 200-meter water resistance, stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm functions, and an EL backlight. No technical changes or module upgrades are shown. Plus, Casio is also including specially designed packaging that reproduces the respective Hokusai prints.
