Right around Christmas, Casio has rolled out a new G-Shock collaboration with All Nippon Airways (ANA), which is designed around the square DW-5600. Revealed via @geesgshock on Instagram, the model should start showing up through ANA’s own stores and online channels in Japan soon enough, with a listed price of ¥19,800 (~$127). This is the second recent ANA collab with a Japanese timepiece manufacturer, the earlier one being the Seiko x ANA - read more about that here.
The watch comes in an all-white resin case and strap, with soft blue accents that match ANA’s airline colors. The dial has the classic DW-5600 layout, swapping the usual branding for a dual "ANA / Casio" logo above the display, which gives it a more corporate, co-branded look.
The strap is printed with airport-style text and route markings, along with a bold airplane graphic down the center. It’s busy, but clearly intentional - more like something you’d see on airline merch than on a regular G-Shock. On the case back, the ANA logo is engraved into the steel as well.
One of the nicer details shows up when you hit the light button. Instead of a plain glow, the LED backlight throws up the silhouette of an airplane across the display. It should be subtle in daylight, but in the dark it becomes the watch’s most playful feature, and easily the part collectors would love to talk about.
Under the design, nothing has changed. This is still a standard DW-5600, with shock resistance, 200 m water resistance, stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm, and LED backlight. There’s no solar charging or radio sync here - this is very much a classic, battery-powered square.
The packaging is also collab-themed. The images show a co-branded ANA box and round presentation case, which makes it feel more like a souvenir or collector piece than a normal retail G-Shock. While this ANA edition doesn’t try to push any new tech or materials, a big part of its appeal should be in the theme: a clean white square, airline branding, and a few small touches like the airplane backlight. For now, it appears to be Japan-only.
