Casio has opened preorders in Japan for the MTG-B4000D-1AJF, a new metal-bracelet MT-G watch launching in January 2026. It combines a carbon composite frame with stainless steel, Tough Solar charging, Bluetooth, and Multi Band 6 time sync. Pricing is set at ¥187,000 (~$1,192).

Casio has officially opened preorders in Japan for the MTG-B4000D-1AJF - the company's latest metal-bracelet addition to the MT-G lineup, which is also a follow-up model in the recently introduced MTG-B4000 series. The watch, which surfaced in leaks recently, is now scheduled to launch in January 2026 and carries a listed price of ¥187,000 (~$1,192), which puts it in Casio’s premium G-Shock segment.

The biggest selling point of the MTG-B4000D will be its layered construction that uses carbon fiber–reinforced resin with stainless steel. Casio describes this as an evolution of its dual-core guard approach, with the carbon frame intended to absorb shock while the metal exterior for overall rigidity and protection. Exploded diagrams shared by Casio clearly show the frame, bezel, and caseback working as separate structural elements rather than a single monobloc shell.

The bracelet, interestingly, follows a similar "hybrid" approach. While it does look to be fully metallic at first look, Casio mentions that it uses a layered composite structure, employing stainless steel with reinforced resin components in order to manage weight and impact. However, despite the metal bracelet, the watch weighs 178 grams, which is somewhat heavy.

Dimensionally, the MTG-B4000D measures 56.6 × 45.3 × 14.4 mm and gets you 200 meters of water resistance. The watch uses Tough Solar charging and supports Multi Band 6 radio time calibration across Japan, North America, Europe, and China. Bluetooth connectivity is also included, which enables time sync and settings management through Casio’s Watches app. Other standard MT-G features are also expectedly present, including world time, stopwatch, countdown timer, alarms, LED illumination, a full auto calendar, and a battery indicator. Casio lists an operating time of around five months on a full charge without light exposure, which can extend to approximately 18 months in power-saving mode.

As mentioned earlier, preorders are now live on Casio Japan for those interested. Alternatively, you can also check out the older Casio MTG-B1000D-1AJF on Amazon.
