A new leak from @geesgshock indicates that Casio may be working on two new Japan-themed G-Shock DW-5600 models inspired by artwork from Katsushika Hokusai. The images, shared by the same source, are not official product photos and should be treated as merely mockups rather than confirmed final designs.
The first watch is referenced as DW-5600KHS-25-1 and is said to be based on Yamashita White Rain. In the mockup, the artwork appears as a muted background element behind the digital display, exactly like the two older models released earlier this year. The case, bezel, and strap still have the familiar black DW-5600 design.
The second model, listed as DW-5600KHFM-1, is linked to Under the Mannenbashi Bridge in Fukagawa. Similar to the first, the artwork is shown only as a background layer in the mockup image, with no visible changes to the external hardware or button layout.
Because these visuals are mockups, details such as color accuracy, artwork placement, and even final model names will most like change before any official announcement comes through. No confirmed specifications, pricing, or release dates have been shared by Casio so far.
If (and when) released, both watches are expected to use the standard DW-5600 module, which typically includes shock resistance, 200-meter water resistance, EL backlight, alarms, stopwatch, and countdown timer. There shouldn't be any technical upgrades beyond the visual theme.
For reference, Hokusai’s work, especially scenes associated with the "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji" series, has previously influenced Casio’s Japan-focused G-Shock releases. This new info means Casio will most likely continue in that same direction. However, confirmation will depend on official product reveals.
