The US market often has to wait its turn for the coolest G-Shock collaborations. Casio’s latest collab with Parisian fashion house Maison Kitsuné is no exception. After launching in Japan back in November and making its way to the UK and Europe earlier this month, the Casio G-Shock GA-2110MK-5A is now finally available stateside, starting today. It's priced at $210 and can be purchased from Casio.com and authorized retailers.
The GA-2110MK is an analog digital watch based on the wildly popular GA-2100 octagonal series. It taps into the "camaieu" color scheme, using neutral, earthy beige and cream tones inspired by Paris' historic Haussmannian architecture. The muted tones are punctuated by a stark orange resin bezel, which Casio says is meant to evoke the sunset glowing over the Paris skyline. The watch ships in special packaging that matches the Camaieu color scheme.
Of course, it wouldn't be a Maison Kitsuné collaboration without the brand’s signature fox, which appears as an indicator on the inset dial at the 9 o’clock position, and again at the base where the strap meets the case. The fox motif is joined by Maison Kitsuné branding on the band loop and case back.
The GA-2110MK-5A offers the same ruggedness as other 2100 series models, boasting shock resistance, up to 200-meter water resistance, and a Carbon Core Guard structure. Battery life is rated at 3 years, and you also get the usual time-keeping features like a stopwatch, hourly time signal, 5 daily alarms, world time for 48 cities, a countdown timer, and an automatic calendar (to year 2099).
