Casio has finally made its latest G-Shock collaboration with Bamford London available to buy in the US. The new model - based on the GM-5600 platform - is now listed on Casio’s official US store with a retail price of $280.
The watch has the classic square G-Shock layout but uses the GM-5600’s metal bezel construction instead of the standard resin-only build. Casio uses a black ion-plated stainless steel bezel alongside a resin case, which should give the watch a heavier, more solid feel than entry-level 5600 models. The overall case dimensions remain unchanged at 49.6 × 43.2 × 12.9mm, with a listed weight of 73 grams.
Looks-wise, the collaboration has Bamford’s black-and-blue color theme. Blue accents appear around the dial text, display border, and strap branding, while the digital display itself is a negative LCD. The strap features bold "Bamford" lettering in blue, which is the most obvious outward marker of the collaboration when worn. The caseback is engraved with Bamford branding as well.
Functionally, this is a standard GM-5600 at its core. It offers shock resistance, 200-meter water resistance, a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer with auto-repeat, multi-function alarm, hourly time signal, and a full auto-calendar running to the year 2099. Casio also includes its Super Illuminator white LED backlight with afterglow. Power comes from a CR2016 battery rated for approximately five years of use.
Casio lists the strap as a bio-based resin band, sized to fit wrists between 145mm and 215mm. The watch uses mineral glass rather than sapphire. For US buyers, the watch is sold directly through Casio’s website and ships in special Bamford-branded packaging. While not a numbered limited edition, availability looks to be more controlled than standard GM-5600 releases, which may keep stock moving in smaller batches.
