The new Casio G-Shock x Bamford 5600 brings a steel-cased update to the long-running 5600 line, mixing Bamford’s blue accents with the model’s durable build. It will debut at a Soho pop-up before wider release on December 9 at £279 (~$365).

Casio’s G-Shock line has been directly associated with durability since the first model arrived in 1983. The original DW-5000C, created under Kikuo Ibe’s "triple-10" concept, set the tone for what the brand would become: a shock-resistant digital watch that could survive rough use without changing its core formula for decades. Over the years, the square 5600 silhouette has become the benchmark for the entire range, and for this reason, it has also served as a canvas for collaborations and limited runs.

Bamford is a British watchmaker known for customizing luxury pieces before establishing its own brand, and it has crossed paths with G-Shock twice before. Their earlier releases used the 5600 form, with Bamford’s preference for dark cases and bright blue highlights. Both previous editions sold out quickly, so the third chapter of this partnership is expected to attract the same attention. The anticipation for this new model has been exceptionally high, as noted in our coverage of past leaks.

This new G-Shock x Bamford 5600 follows the same formula but adds a few distinct updates. The attached images show a steel-framed case with a polished black finish, complete with Bamford’s blue accents around the bezel, dial frame, and text. The matte strap carries a large "Bamford" print in the same shade, which keeps the collaboration visually consistent without really drifting into ornamental territory. The display uses a negative LCD with matching blue-grey digits, making it look way cleaner than standard 5600 models. The overall impression is a sharper, more refined variant of the square.

According to the launch details, the watch will be the centerpiece of a pop-up event in Soho’s Meera Newsagents from December 5th to 8th. The space will be redesigned in a Konbini-style layout - an idea borrowed from Japanese convenience stores - with cereal boxes, tins, and small items rebranded as limited collectables to match the collab. The pop-up will also offer apparel, accessories, and gifts that won’t be sold elsewhere. Visitors attending the media night on December 4th will get early access and a chance to see an artwork created for the collaboration.

Retail availability begins on December 9th at £279 (~$365). Stores carrying the drop include g-shock.com, Chisholm Hunter, Beaverbrooks, Goldsmiths, Dover Street Market, and Selfridges.
