Fresh in-person images of the Casio A1000A-7 and A1000G-9 are now live online. Thanks to these, we get a fresh perspective on the two stainless-steel models after their wider European rollout was recently confirmed. These photos match the earlier listings spotted, but the new angles help confirm a few details that weren’t obvious from stock renders.
The silver A1000A-7 carries a bright positive LCD with a clean, almost matte finish around the display window. The bezel appears slightly darker than the rest of the case, which helps create a subtle two-tone effect that wasn’t as noticeable in Casio’s press images. The multi-row bracelet has a tighter weave than Casio’s lower-priced vintage lines, and the IRL shots show a higher polish across the links than expected, especially on the outer edges.
The gold A1000G-9 looks closer to its promotional photos, but the new images show that the ion-plated finish has a warmer tone rather than a bright yellow. The display has a soft gold tint that blends well with the rest of the case, and the "Illuminator" text at the bottom confirms the model’s LED backlight - consistent with Casio’s A1000 specifications. The bracelet on the gold version has the same structure as the silver one, though the photos show slightly stronger reflections due to the plating.
Both watches have slim 7.3 mm cases with a compact footprint that’s typical of the A1000 lineup. What stands out most in the IRL shots is the finishing quality. The polishing looks to be way more refined than Casio’s entry-level vintage models, which is quite interesting (and refreshing). While the new photos don’t reveal any hidden surprises, they do reinforce that Casio’s A1000 series is still a cleaner, sharper alternative within its vintage range, sitting comfortably above the standard A700 and A168 models with familiar functions like the alarm, stopwatch and automatic calendar.
The A1000A-7 is priced at €119 (~$137) and the A1000G-9 will retail at €169 (~$195). Meanwhile, you can check out the Casio A168WEMB-1BV on Amazon.
