Casio releases new metal bezel digital watches with unusual feature

Casio has released its new AE-1700H watch in three colorways at its online store in the US. This model was rumored earlier in 2025 and has since appeared on the brand’s international website.

Now, at Casio.com, you can buy the AE1700H-1AV, AE1700H-1A2V and AE1700H-1BV watches for $54.95 each. Shipping starts from $10.23 for Economy, with delivery estimated for six to ten business days.

The AE1700H-1AV is a black watch with a positive (light background) display, while the AE1700H-1BV has the same casing and strap, this time with a negative (dark background) display. The AE1700H-1A2V also has a black casing and a black strap, but it features a two-tone red and blue bezel. Each model has a resin casing and band, with an aluminum timer bezel.

Casio’s AE-1700H is a digital watch supporting dual time zones. Tools include a 1/100th second stopwatch, a countdown timer and three multifunctional alarms. Plus, there is a fishing mode, indicating whether a particular date and time could be suitable for the sport, based on the moon’s phase and position. The screen can be illuminated with an amber LED backlight, with the watch offering 100 m water resistance and around 10 years of battery life.

The AE-1700H watches are also available to pre-order at retailer David et Philly in France for €49.90 each, with an expected release date of December 2025. It remains to be seen precisely when Casio will officially launch this model in Europe.
