Casio has revealed the new G-Shock x Maison Kitsuné GA-2110MK-5A watch. This is the latest collaboration between the Japanese watchmaker and the French music label and clothing brand.
The Casio G-Shock GA-2110MK-5A has a camaieu, or monochrome, palette, said to be inspired by Haussmann’s Parisian architecture. The design centres around the Maison Kitsuné fox motif, which can be found on the day of the week sub-dial. In a matching bright orange are the watch’s bezel and various accents on the lighter dial. The resin watch measures 48.5 x 45.4 x 11.8 mm (~1.91 x 1.79 x 0.46 inches), with a striking orange bezel, and the strap features the Maison Kitsuné logo.
The G-Shock GA-2110 is an analog-digital watch, featuring two hands which are said to remain accurate within 15 seconds each month. The time, month and date can also be shown on the integrated display, which in this case has a light background (positive). There are tools like a countdown timer, hourly time signals, five daily alarms and a 1/100th second stopwatch. Plus, users can select from 31 time zones, and the watch is water resistant to 200 m.
The Casio G-Shock x Maison Kitsuné GA-2110MK-5A watch will retail for £159 in the UK. The product listing does not list its release date, but prospective customers can “sign up now” on the page to receive an email upon its launch. Whether or when it could be released in other countries, like the US or Germany, is unclear.
