Little over a month has passed since GameMT presented the E3 Vigor, a horizontal gaming handheld. At the time, we considered the device to be a ZPG A1 Unicorn, Powkiddy RGB30 and Anbernic RG CubeXX (curr. $79.99 on Amazon) rival thanks to its 1:1 display. At the time, the E3 Vigor was shown in three colours and was said to be launching soon.
Now, Retro Gaming with Deadfred has showcased a new GameMT E3 gaming handheld, albeit without the 'Vigor' branding. Not to be confused with the E3 Vigor, the GameMT E3 drops the dual joysticks found on the E3 Vigor. Additionally, the GameMT E3 lacks any start or select buttons to speak of. However, the device retains a 1:1 display, an eight-way d-pad and in-line triggers.
Unusually, GameMT has included a cartridge slot, too. According to Retro Gaming with Deadfred, GameMT intends for this slot to play Game Boy Advance cartridges, which would look rather unusual on a 1:1 display. As the video below shows, the GameMT E3 features top-mounted ports like dual USB Type-C connections, a microSD card slot and micro HDMI. Unfortunately, release details remain unknown for now.
