Earlier this month, Ayaneo returned to teasing its Pocket Vert gaming handheld. Now, the company has delivered a fresh set of details about the same device in a new Product Sharing Session. Embedded below, the video stretches to over 90 minutes, during which multiple prototypes can be seen.
Seemingly, Ayaneo plans to offer the Pocket Vert in three colour options with matching buttons. As the images below show, all variants offer a bezel-less experience around their IPS displays, just like the Pocket Micro and Pocket Micro Classic before it. Reiterating that the Pocket Vert has a 3.5-inch panel, Ayaneo is still harping on about its 1,600 x 1,440 resolution and 615 PPI rather than confirming the silicon underpinning it.
Instead, it has now confirmed that the Pocket Vert measures around 143 x 86.4 x 20.5 mm, which would make it noticeably shorter, narrower and thinner than the Pocket DMG preceding it. By contrast, the Pocket Vert comes in at slightly taller but narrower than budget vertical gaming handhelds like the Anbernic RG 40XX V, which features a 4-inch display (curr. $79 on Amazon).
Moreover, the Pocket Vert boasts a 6,000 mAh battery, bottom-firing stereo speakers and a built-in touchpad like the Pocket DMG in place of joysticks. Unfortunately, we are still none the wiser regarding a release date. Likewise, Ayaneo remains quiet about many hardware details at this stage too.
