While we are still a few days from Black Friday 2025, juicy tech deals are already rolling in. From gaming laptops to GPUs, consumer tech is getting cheaper. The same is true for 4K TVs. We now have one of the best TV deals of 2025 on our hands, as Best Buy has cut the price of the 98-inch TCL Q55K by a massive 60%.
The 98-inch TCL Q55K is now just $999.99 at Best Buy, a $1,500 discount on the $2,499.99 list price. A few years ago, it was nearly impossible to find such a large screen TV at or close to $1,000. So, the TCL 98Q55K dropping to $1,000 is an undeniably sweet value.
Looking at the specs, the TCL Q55K's 4K panel features QLED technology, promising vibrant colors and high brightness. The TV is also HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG certified for an enhanced HDR experience.
Aside from media watching, gamers should also be quite happy with the TCL Q55K 98-inch TV, as it packs a high native refresh rate of 144 Hz. This refresh rate is combined with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to deliver a smooth, tear-free gaming experience for both console and PC gamers. Sadly, the TCL 98Q55K’s four HDMI ports are only HDMI 2.0, which top out at 4K@60 Hz. This is a curious omission that was probably done to save costs.
So, if your gaming PC can manage 60+ FPS at 4K and you want to enjoy high-refresh-rate 4K gaming, you might want to look at TVs that carry HDMI 2.1 ports.
Other notable features of the TCL Q55K include the company’s in-house AiPQ Processor Pro for upscaling/image enhancements, Google’s Smart TV platform, a 2.1-channel speaker system with Dolby Atmos, Auto Game Mode, and more.
Put simply, while the TCL 98Q55K won’t have the best colors, brightness, and picture quality, it is an awesome deal at $1,000. Combine the TV with a good surround sound system and you’ll be all set for a pleasing home theatre experience.
