Black Friday 2025, the biggest shopping event of the year, is almost upon us. This explains why we are seeing gaming laptops receive bigger and bigger discounts. For instance, we reported in early September that the latest Lenovo Legion Pro 7i 16 Gen 10 gaming laptop with the RTX 5070 Ti was on sale for $2,199 at B&H Photo. Fast forward two months, and the same Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 SKU is now $300 cheaper.
So, you can currently get the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i 16 Gen 10 for just $1,899, which is a staggering $950 less than the full $2,849.99 list price at B&H Photo.
Lenovo Legion Pro 7i 16 Gen 10 specs
The Legion Pro 7i 16 Gen 10 under discussion is powered by a flagship Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, a 140 W RTX 5070 Ti laptop GPU, 32 GB of DDR5-6400 memory, and 2 TB of total Gen 4 storage. The display on the laptop is a 16-inch OLED affair with a 2,560x1,600 resolution, a quick 240 Hz refresh rate, and a max brightness of 1,000 nits in HDR. The panel also supports Nvidia G-Sync and Advanced Optimus.
The Legion Pro 7i 16 features an anodized aluminum body with a full-sized backlit keyboard, a fairly large trackpad, and plenty of ports. There are also RGB light strips at the rear and at the base of the device to add some visual flair to the otherwise professional-looking design.
Thankfully, the impressive hardware also delivers during real-life use. Our review of the RTX 5080-powered SKU with the same CPU and display resulted in an excellent 88% rating. The laptop impressed us with its no-compromise performance, numerous upgradability options, and outstanding display.
Specifically, we noted that, alongside the full-power RTX 5080, the Core Ultra 9 275HX had been supplied with ample power in the Legion Pro 7i 16. This resulted in the laptop earning a Performance Rating of 95.3. While the RTX 5070 Ti laptop inside the model on sale is around 8% slower than the RTX 5080, it should still be plenty fast for QHD gaming with elevated graphics. If you are an eSports player, the RTX 5070 Ti laptop will also ensure high refresh rates at FHD.
Whether it is gaming, watching movies, or creating content, the 1600p OLED display of the Legion Pro 7i 16 will not leave you wanting for more. The display is among the best currently available on any gaming laptop on the market, as we measured close to 1,000 nits of HDR max brightness (500 nits in SDR), practically infinite contrast, a 240 Hz refresh rate, a 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and good factory calibration.
That said, the Legion Pro 7i is not perfect by any means. For instance, the laptop’s extremely fast performance results in high operating temperatures, there is no SD card reader (get one on Amazon), and the chassis is quite bulky. However, these are minor issues when we consider the target audience of the machine.
So, if a beastly gaming laptop is on your Christmas shopping list, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i 16 Gen 10 on sale at B&H Photo is a rather sweet value.
