The Lenovo Legion is a gaming-oriented lineup of devices, including laptops, desktops, and even Android tablets. The company released various Legion Y700 models featuring a compact design and flagship-grade performance. This year, Lenovo introduced the Legion Y700 (4th Gen) in China. Now a new leak from reputable tipster, Digital Chat Station, has emerged, sharing details regarding next year's Lenovo Legion Y700 model.
As per the leak, the next-gen Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet will keep a compact form factor with an 8.8-inch display featuring a 3K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. However, it will still use an LCD panel instead of an OLED panel. The leaked display specifications seems identical to the Y700 (4th Gen).
One of the major upgrades of the next Legion Y700 tablet is expected to be its performance. The leak reveals it will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. For comparison, the Y700 (4th Gen) featured the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. As per Qualcomm, the 8 Elite Gen 5 has around a 20% CPU performance boost compared to the 8 Elite. The upcoming Lenovo tablet is also tipped to feature an "extra-large" VC heat dissipation solution to keep the device cool under heavy load.
The next-generation Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet may use a large battery in the 9,000 mAh range. For reference, the Y700 (4th Gen) had a 7,600 mAh battery. According to the tipster, the new model of the Lenovo Legion Y700 tablet may be released in the first half of next year.
