Earlier this year, OnePlus introduced a new compact flagship phone called the OnePlus 13T in the Chinese market. Subsequently, it was also released as the OnePlus 13s for the global market, featuring a 6.3-inch compact design while delivering flagship-level performance powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. A new leak provides an early look at the specifications of the successor to the OnePlus 13T.
For those unaware, the brand recently introduced the OnePlus 15 in China. The company skipped the OnePlus 14, possibly due to the number '14' being considered unlucky in Chinese culture. Hence, the 13T's successor will likely be called the OnePlus 15T.
The new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo reveals that it will have a 6.31-inch flat display with a 1.5K resolution and uniform bezels. However, it is unclear if the OnePlus 15T will feature a 165Hz refresh rate, as it is one of the key highlights of the new OnePlus 15. As per the leak, the phone will feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. According to Qualcomm, the 8 Elite Gen 5 offers around 20% faster CPU performance than the previous 8 Elite, which powered phones including the OnePlus 13T.
The tipster reveals that the battery of the compact smartphone is not yet confirmed. However, it is expected to be in the 7,000mAh range. Additionally, the phone may offer additional upgrades over its predecessor. The OnePlus 15T may feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and IP68-rated water and dust resistance. For comparison, the OnePlus 13T featured an IP65 certification. Additionally, it had an optical in-display scanner, which is generally slower and less accurate than an ultrasonic one.
Expected launch timeframe of the OnePlus 15T
The tipster also reveals that the OnePlus 15T is expected to launch in the first half of next year. A previous leak indicates that the launch may happen between March and April 2026. Internationally, the phone may subsequently debut as the OnePlus 15s.
