The Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 4 launched in January 2025 in China. For those unaware, the Redmi Turbo series is a performance-oriented lineup of smartphones in the mid-range market. It is positioned below the Redmi K series, with the latest additions being the Redmi K90 and the K90 Pro Max. Now, a new Redmi Turbo smartphone has been certified in China.
A smartphone with model number "2511FRT34C" has received 3C certification in China. According to a previous report, this model number belongs to the Redmi Turbo 5. The 3C certification suggests that the upcoming smartphone will feature 100W fast charging support. However, other specifications still remain a mystery.
A recent rumor suggested that the Redmi Turbo 5 will feature a 9,000mAh battery. For comparison, the Turbo 4 had a 6,550mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. The smartphone may feature a MediaTek Dimensity chipset. Additionally, it is said to have a metal frame and a simple camera module design.
There is no concrete release date for the Redmi Turbo 5. However, the 3C certification indicates that the device is moving closer to launch. The smartphone may launch globally under a different name, potentially as the Poco X8 Pro. In separate news, OnePlus is also expected to launch the Ace 6 Pro Max, a performance-focused smartphone with an 8,000mAh battery.
