Xiaomi will release the Poco X8 series early in 2026. Like with this year's phones, the Poco X8 Pro is expected to be a rebadge of the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5, with more details of that phone now being revealed in a leak.
As shared by Smart Pikachu, the Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to launch with the largest battery seen on a Xiaomi device yet. Previous leaks on the claimed already indicated that the mid-range phone, much like the OnePlus Ace 6T, would sport a battery with a capacity in the region of 8,000 mAh.
That said, it'd be surprising if the Poco X8 Pro arrived globally with a battery of that size, with devices like the Poco F8, Xiaomi 15T, and Poco F7 series all launching on the global market with smaller batteries than the devices they were based on.
In addition to a large battery, the source claims that the Redmi Turbo 5—and, by extension, the Poco X8 Pro—will feature a metal mid-frame, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader, and a high-end MediaTek Dimensity chipset. The Redmi Turbo 5 is tipped to debut in China next month, with the Poco X8 series likely to follow shortly after globally.
