As previously reported, the Poco X8 series phones are slated to debut soon—in January, potentially—and new leaks have now revealed key details of the Poco X8 Pro ahead of its release.
The Poco X8 Pro is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 5 for markets outside China. It's already been certified at India's BIS with the model number "2511FPC34I", and globally as "2511FPC34G". Reportedly, the Poco X8 Pro will sport a 1.5K 120 Hz OLED, a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra, and a metal mid-frame. It's also said to run on Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box.
While the Redmi Turbo 5 is widely tipped to feature a battery in the region of 8,000 mAh, it appears Xiaomi will equip the Poco X8 Pro with a smaller battery globally, as current information touts a 6,500 mAh unit. Admittedly disappointing, but still a slight upgrade on the Poco X7 Pro's 6,000 mAh battery. No significant upgrades are expected on the camera side, however. Leaks moot a 50 MP main camera, 8 MP ultra-wide angle snapper, and a 20 MP selfie shooter—effectively the same setup as the Poco X7 Pro.
