After updating the Poco F7 series and Poco X7 to HyperOS 3, Xiaomi is now expanding its major software release to two new devices: the Poco F6 Pro and Redmi Pad 2.
The stable HyperOS 3 update based on Android 16 is now rolling out widely to the Poco F6 Pro, according to multiple reports on Reddit. The update carries the build number OS3.0.4.0.WNKMIXM and is a sizable 7.1GB download.
XiaomiTime reports that the 2025 Redmi Pad 2 4G is also picking up an update (OS3.0.2.0.WOWEUXM) to Android 16, specifically the European global variant. So far, we haven’t spotted any user reports on Reddit or Xiaomi/MIUI forums, suggesting it’s only currently available to a small subset of Redmi Pad 2 owners as part of a staged rollout.
The HyperOS 3 update is packed with many exciting features, with the Poco F6 Pro owners in particular gaining access to iPhone-style HyperIsland, new cinematic lockscreen styles and dynamic wallpapers, a redesigned home screen layout with updated icons, and a suite of generative AI tools.
While the new Redmi Pad 2 4G update offers many of the same features and improvements, it also brings along a more robust stylus experience, a new vertical split-screen mode for better multitasking, and cross-device interconnectivity, which lets you run Xiaomi apps on your iPad with full support for multitasking and open them in desktop-style windows on your MacBook.
Other global devices scheduled to get the stable HyperOS 3 in December include Redmi Note 13 Pro, Redmi 15, Poco F6, Poco X6 Pro, Poco M7, Poco M6, Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G, and Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4.
