HyperOS 3 is finally landing on the Redmi Note 14 family. The Note 14 Pro Plus 5G is the first to receive it, with the Note 14 4G and Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G/4G expected to follow suit in the coming weeks.

Xiaomi is finally expanding the stable HyperOS 3 update to the Redmi Note 14 series, with the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G first in line to get the new Android 16-based update. It’s been a long wait for the owners of the Redmi Note 14 series, and while the models like the Redmi Note 14 4G and Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G / 4G are still waiting, it shouldn’t be too long before the new update goes live for those variants as well.

The stable HyperOS 3 OTA for the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus carries build number OS3.0.2.0.WOPMIXM and weighs around 5.9GB in size. Interestingly, the Chinese Note 14 Pro Plus still hasn’t received the new update, with a stable rollout planned sometime in December. Usually, it’s the other way around, with the Chinese devices typically getting Xiaomi’s major software updates first before they land on global units.

In any event, those rocking the global version of the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G should be on the lookout for an OTA in the coming days. Xiaomi typically pushes these updates in waves, which means it can take a few days—or even a couple of weeks—before it lands on every unit. If you aren’t seeing anything under Settings > About Phone > System updates just yet, don’t worry. Give it some time.

What's new in HyperOS 3

HyperOS 3 tons of new changes, with the most notable being a refreshed interface and iPhone-style HyperIsland that displays rich notifications and live information around the front camera notch. It also includes iOS-style lockscreen and revamped kernel and graphics optimizations aimed at making the whole system feel smoother. And since it’s based on Android 16, you also benefit from Google’s latest features and improvements, too, like improved notification grouping, Live Updates, the predictive back gesture, and new security safeguards such as Trade-in Mode and Advanced Protection.

Devices confirmed to receive the stable update in November

So far, Xiaomi has rolled out the stable HyperOS 3 update to the Xiaomi 15 and 15T lineups, the POCO F7 Ultra, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, and the Xiaomi Pad 7. The company plans to update several more global devices before November end, including the  POCO F7 Pro, POCO F7, POCO X7 Pro, POCO X7 Pro Iron Man Edition, POCO X7, and Xioami MIX Flip, and Xiaomi Pad Mini.
