The Honor 500 series is set to launch soon in China as a new sub-flagship phone lineup. Right after the brand showcased the iPhone Air-like design of the two phones, it confirmed the Chinese launch date. The specs of the two have leaked as well.

Honor is getting ready to launch a new sub-flagship phone lineup in China, the Honor 500 series. It will introduce two phones: a standard and a Pro, and as the brand recently revealed, both look quite similar to the Apple iPhone Air from the back. Now, the company has confirmed the imminent launch date for the smartphones.

To be specific, the Honor 500 series is now confirmed to launch in China on November 24, 2025. While the company didn't share the specs of the two phones, Digital Chat Station, a credible Weibo leaker, has revealed the core highlights of the upcoming sub-flagship smartphones.

As Digital Chat Station reports, the Honor 500 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the non-Pro will pack the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. The former will also come with a better camera setup on the back, featuring a 200 MP primary sensor that's paired with a 12 MP ultrawide and a 50 MP 3x telephoto.

Although the non-Pro retains the 200 MP primary and 12 MP ultrawide, it will reportedly miss out on the 3x telephoto found on the Honor 500 Pro. Digital Chat Station adds that both will come with a 6.55-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 3,840 Hz PWM dimming.

The Weibo leaker also reported that both will feature an 8,000 mAh battery, which is something the Tang Daren, product manager at Honor, has recently confirmed. This large battery is expected to have support for 80 W fast charging through wired, while the Honor 500 Pro will be the only one to have support for 50 W wireless charging (140 W Anker charger curr. $65.99 on Amazon).

Other details shared in the leak included stereo speakers, IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings, and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. There's still no concrete info about the pricing, but the last-gen Honor 400 had a Chinese starting launch price of around $347, while the Pro launched with a starting tag of around $472.
