Stable Android 16-based HyperOS 3 update nears release for two Xiaomi Poco phones
Xiaomi has released Android 16-based HyperOS 3 update to a handful of previously released phones. Per recent reports, the brand is even working to release the Android 15 version of the firmware to older devices, which, of course, can come with some caveats, such as a limited set of new features.
Nonetheless, as for the Android 16 update, over a dozen Xiaomi devices are planned to get it by December 2025, and it seems that the Poco F6 Pro and P7 Pro are next in line. To be specific, as XiaomiTime reports, the company has prepared the stable HyperOS 3 update for these two phones.
The reported build numbers for the global updates are OS3.0.1.0.WNKMIXM for the Poco F6 Pro and OS3.0.2.0.WOKMIXM for the F7 Pro. These two were among the list of devices that are planned to get the update by December 2025. For those interested, the devices that have already received the global Android 16 update are:
- Xiaomi 15 series
- Xiaomi 15T series (15T available on Amazon)
- Poco F7 Ultra
- Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro
With the stable rollout of HyperOS 3 for the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F6 Pro, Xiaomi will likely shift its focus to the non-Pro F6 and F7.
