The replacement of the Galaxy S25 Plus is anywhere from two to three months away, based on recent reports. In the meantime, Android Headlines and OnLeaks have teamed up to deliver what they consider to be a first look at the so-called Galaxy S26 Plus and how it differs from Samsung's current model (curr. $849 on Amazon).
For context, Samsung was originally thought to have killed off the Galaxy S26 Plus with the Galaxy S26 Edge taking its place. Apparently, this is no longer the case. Instead, both devices are now rumoured to be launching next year, albeit perhaps under a different name for the Galaxy S26 Edge. By contrast, the Galaxy S26 Plus is said to carry over the name and footprint of its predecessor almost in their entirety.
Allegedly, the Galaxy S26 Plus is set to measure 158.4 x 75.8 x 7.35 mm, which would make it the same height and width as the Galaxy S25 Plus but 0.05 mm thicker. However, Samsung appears to have drawn inspiration from the Galaxy Z Fold7 when designing the rear of its next Plus-branded flagship with a pronounced camera housing joined by simpler lens designs. The Galaxy S26 Plus appears to be boxier than the company's outgoing model too, with Samsung seemingly harmonising the designs of Galaxy S series in a way it has avoided in recent generations.
