Now that the Galaxy S25 Edge is de facto the last of its kind, at least according to consistent reports from leakers and industry insiders, Samsung may yet prove them wrong in the future if the claims from GalaxyClub prove correct. They claim that plans for the S26 Edge have indeed been cancelled, but is still developing another thin phone, internally codenamed "More Slim".
This codename is an apparent reference to an even slimmer smartphone, but it is not supposed to be the originally planned Galaxy S26 Edge. According to GalaxyClub, this does not contradict the rumors about the end of the Galaxy Edge series. On the contrary, this fits in quite well with the picture, as this is a very young project that is unlikely to be launched together with the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Hence, Samsung may return to the usual Galaxy trio at the beginning of 2026, with another Galaxy S26 Edge successor in early summer, just like this year. Whether Samsung will use the name Galaxy S26 Edge for the "even thinner" Galaxy flagship remains unclear at this time. In any case, it cannot be ruled out that the original development for the Galaxy S26 Edge will now be continued under a different name and with an even thinner case than before as a competitor to the iPhone 18 Air in 2026.
