Vivo X300 goes global with 200 MP Zeiss camera and downgraded battery

Vivo launched the X300 series as a next-gen camera phone lineup with the flagship Dimensity 9500. Both the X300 and X300 Pro have now officially landed outside the Chinese market. Among the two, the former is more affordable, but compared to the model launched in China, the EU one has a downgraded battery. 

To be specific, the non-Pro Vivo X300 comes with a 5,360 mAh battery in the EU, while the Chinese variant features a 6,040 mAh battery. The good part is that the 90 W wired fast charging and 40 W wireless charging support remain the same.

Besides the battery, all the other specs remain identical, including the ZEISS camera setup. For those who missed our Chinese coverage, the Vivo X300 comes with a 200 MP HPB primary sensor, which is paired with a 50 MP Sony LYT-602 telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 50 MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide.

On the front, the X300 features a 50 MP Samsung JN1 selfie shooter. The front also sports a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. There's an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics, and the phone runs on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box.

Other notable aspects of the phone include dual stereo speaker setup, Bluetooth 5.4, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, and IP68/69 ingress protection rating. In the EU, the Vivo X300 is available with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, and this config costs €1,049, around $1,214. For reference, the same configuration goes for CNY 4,399, about $619.66 (16/256 GB curr. $891.03 on TradingShenzhen).
