DJI has now released its first robot vacuum globally under the Romo series. Also, it seems that the Osmo Mobile 8 is on the verge of being offered worldwide too, following its Chinese debut at the end of last month. Meanwhile, recent rumours suggest that the Neo 2 drone will debut globally in less than a fortnight.
According to a new report, the successor to the Osmo Action 4 and Osmo Action 5 Pro (curr. $349 on Amazon) may not be far behind. Specifically, The New Camera now claims that DJI plans to introduce the Osmo Action 6 on November 19. For context, this date falls less than a week after the DJI Neo 2's rumoured worldwide release.
At this stage, The New Camera has not shared evidence that verifies this claim. Instead, the website cited a DJI 'brand insider' email received by YouTuber PhotoRabz detailing a November 19 launch date. Apparently, DJI had planned to introduce the Osmo Action 6 on October 24 rather than November 10, although other sources have not publicly mentioned this alleged original release date.
Regardless, we would expect DJI to publish an official teaser by November 12 at the latest. Currently, the Osmo Action 6 is expected to combine a new 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor with an f/2.0-f/4.0 variable aperture lens, unlike its peers. The Osmo Action 6 is tipped to offer 8K and 30 FPS video recording capabilities, all for a $329 starting price.
