DJI will be unveiling its next compact consumer drone later this week. As we have discussed previously, the company has committed to an October 30 launch event for what looks like a successor to last year's DJI Neo (curr. $159 on Amazon). Over the last few days, various details about the Neo 2 have emerged online.
Now, leaker billbil-kun has weighed in on DJI's alleged plans for its forthcoming drone. For instance, it was previously unclear whether DJI would drop the Neo 2 globally on October 30, too. According to billbil-kun, that will not be the case.
Instead, the leaker reports that DJI intends to begin selling the Neo 2 outside China on November 13. However, launch pricing is now said to be different from previous claims with a €40/$40 uplift on the Neo 2. Specifically, billbil-kun expects the Neo 2 to start at $259 in the US with the drone itself and one Intelligent Flight battery.
Meanwhile, this so-called Fly Solo Bundle will retail for £209 in the UK and €239 in the Eurozone. Apparently, the Fly More Combo bundle will launch for $429, €399 and £349 in the same markets with additional accessories like three batteries, a Motion 3 controller and a Goggles N3 adapter. Finally, DJI is believed to have priced the Motion Fly More Combo for $599, €579 and £509.
