DJI has just released the Neo 2 drone in all but the US. Followed swiftly by the Osmo Action 6 (curr. $369 on Amazon), the Neo 2 may not be DJI's latest consumer drone for long. The same is the case for the Osmo Action 6 and the company's action camera division, which is soon set to receive an Osmo Pocket-sized shake-up.
For the time being, it remains unclear how much longer the Neo 2 has as DJI's most recent consumer drone. While the Osmo Pocket 4 is now tipped to arrive in December, a release date has yet to emerge for the Avata 360. However, various details have already emerged, including the presence of dual 1/1.1-inch CMOS camera sensors.
Based on subsequent photos, DJI will not restrict the Avata 360 to being a 360-degree drone either. Instead, the camera module can be rotated to mimic a conventional first-person view (FPV) drone like the Avata 2. As a result, the Avata 360 should not scrape either camera lens when landing. Consequently, DJI's next drone does not need landing gear either, unlike the retractable ones on the Antigravity A1.
