DJI has now teased the upcoming release of its Neo 2 drone. While the DJI Neo 2 contains various upgrades over last year's Neo, DJI's official teaser suggests that US citizens are set to miss out.

Over a month has passed since rumours emerged suggesting that DJI planned to introduce three new devices in November. Of those rumoured, only the Osmo Mobile 8 (curr. $149 on Amazon) has gone on to receive a global release. However, DJI hinted that the Osmo Action 6 would be joining the Osmo Mobile 8 on November 18.

Now, the company has shared a new teaser for another November launch event. Surprisingly, this will take place on November 13 between the Osmo Mobile 8 and Osmo Action 6's global releases, despite DJI sharing this 'Fly Your Way' teaser last. Incidentally, DJI has re-used the same teaser globally that it used to tee up the Neo 2's release in China on October 30. Please see our original launch article for how the Neo 2 differs from last year's Neo drone.

In other words, it seems nailed on that DJI will present the Neo 2 and only the Neo 2 on November 13, just as recent leaks indicated. With that being said, claims that DJI will offer the drone in the US may have been wide of the mark. Currently, DJI's teaser returns a 404 error on its US website, tallying with recent reports that DJI drones have been prohibited from sale in the country. According to leaker billbil-kun, DJI had intended to release the Neo 2 for $429, €399 and £349 in the US, the Eurozone and the UK, respectively.
