The Phone (3a) Lite is now official after being teased earlier this month. In short, the final member of the Phone (3) series shares many of its features with the existing CMF Phone 2 Pro rather than the Phone (3a) or Phone (3a) Pro (curr. $569 on Amazon). To that end, the Phone (3a) Lite relies upon a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset that Nothing complements with a 5,000 mAh battery.
Likewise, the Phone (3a) Lite tops out at 33 W wired charging with no support for wireless charging. Additionally, the new smartphone maintains the 6.77-inch AMOLED display from the CMF Phone 2 Pro, which outputs at 1080p with 1,300 nits peak brightness or 3,000 nits in HDR mode. Also, Nothing intersects this 120 Hz display with a 16 MP front-facing camera, as well as 50 MP primary, 50 MP telephoto and 8 MP rear-facing cameras.
Unfortunately, none of these cameras are optically stabilised (OIS), not even its 2x telephoto camera. Moreover, the Phone (3a) Lite features minimal Glyph lighting, despite adopting the transparent finishes of past Nothing smartphones. For reference, Nothing only guarantees three major OS updates from Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15 with six years of security updates.
The Phone (3a) Lite can be pre-ordered from today in black and white finishes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. At launch, Nothing charges £249/€249 for the former and £279/€279 for the latter. Nothing has not indicated yet whether it plans to sell the Phone (3a) Lite in the US, though.
