Xiaomi has now started delivering its HyperOS 3 update to the first batch of devices globally. As we have covered separately, the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro are the first HyperOS 3-eligible devices globally. Arguably this should come as no surprise though, considering their recent releases.
Currently, Xiaomi has not committed to offering HyperOS 3 for older or mid-range smartphones until next month at the earliest. With that being said, some handsets spread across Xiaomi's Poco and Redmi series could be without HyperOS 3 until March 2026. In the meantime, there were suggestions that Xiaomi may withhold its Hyper Island functionality even for devices like the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus (curr. $415 on Amazon).
However, a recent HyperOS 3 code change suggests that this will no longer be the case. Instead, PaperKing13 now reports that HyperOS 3.0.23 removes the code that disabled Hyper Island for Xiaomi's cheaper smartphones. Reportedly, this change brings the functionality to devices with Xiaomi's older Control Center, too.
Thus, Hyper Island should be available across all the smartphones listed in the three rollout schedules reproduced above. Unfortunately, caveats still exist with Hyper Island implementation on some smartphones. According to PaperKing13, Xiaomi has disabled related animations for smartphones with low RAM volumes. Exact details are likely to remain unknown until HyperOS 3 starts reaching entry-level options like the Redmi 15 and Redmi 15C 5G, among others.
