The OnePlus 15 has just been formally unveiled in China, and the brand has also launched the Ace 6 alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship. While these two are yet to make a global debut, the company seems to already be working on another smartphone, which will be geared for gaming.
Per a recent leak from SmartPix, the phone in question will be called OnePlus Turbo, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. This SoC is just a step below the current flagship, the 8 Elite Gen 5, which should also make OnePlus's upcoming phone more affordable than the OnePlus 15 (Chinese 256 GB curr. $693.54 on TradingShenzhen).
It's worth noting that this isn't the first time a report about a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 OnePlus phone has emerged. The brand itself teased the phone in late September 2025. Digital Chat Station, a reliable Weibo tipster, has also recently shared a similar report, and just like SmartPix's leak, the Chinese leaker suggested that the smartphone will come with a large battery.
To be specific, per SmartPix, the OnePlus Turbo will pack an 8,000 mAh battery, larger than the Ace 6. It will reportedly have support for 100 W fast charging. On the front, the gaming phone is said to sport a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution.
Like the recently released OnePlus phones, the display will reportedly feature a 165 Hz refresh rate, and with the other gaming features, it will reportedly stand as a proper option for gamers. As for the camera setup, SmartPix reports that OnePlus's Turbo will feature a 50 MP primary sensor on the back, which will be paired with an 8 MP ultrawide. The front is expected to sport a 32 MP selfie shooter.
Among the other highlights from the leak are stereo speakers, an x-axis linear vibration motor, and NFC support. SmartPix didn't share anything concrete about when the device may be released, but Digital Chat Station suggested that it will launch in China near the end of 2025.
